Dale Dorsey

The philosophy department is shocked and saddened that Dale Dorsey has died. Dale was a member of the department for sixteen years and has had a profound effect on it. This is a great loss, not just to philosophy—Dale was a truly outstanding philosopher—but to all of us as people. Dale was, quite simply, a lovely person all around, and we are lucky to have gotten to know him so well and to have been his friends and fellows. He will be sorely and deeply missed. Our thoughts are with Erin and we will do what we can to help her through these difficult times.
